● Don’t click on any link in emails that you don’t find appropriate or relevant.
● Think twice before registering your email to any website.

steps that you could take to avoid such being spammed.
I will suggest you create two emails. The first one for personal use like for office
work, school/college work, etc. and the second one for online activities such as social
media, online shopping, banking, and others.
Remember, you will get the spam mails only if you are providing your email account
to any online shopping website or if you willingly register to a sketchy site.
Think twice before you provide your email address on blogs, personal sites, online
directories, and other websites where it is easily visible and can be picked up by the
spammers.
Whenever you click on the link which is sent by the spammers, you will be directed to
the website, which is not real but looks the same as the actual website, which will
infect then your computer with a virus or malware.
Unknowingly, you are sharing your private data with the spammers.
If you are getting spam emails in your Gmail Account, never click on it. Spammers
have powerful software that detects that you opened the mail.
If you opened their mail, the spammer then knows that your email is active.
Your email ID is then added to their lists, even if you opened the mail by mistake. If
you’ve open such emails in the past, don’t worry. Avoid opening such emails in the
future.
Most spam emails are easily recognizable, those emails with distinct spam-catchy
lines- you know, the ones talking about giving you better sex life, prescription drugs,
lower mortgage rates, or outstanding credit card offers.
Just delete those without opening them. Don't click on the "Remove me" button and
delete it directly because all that tells the spammer that your email exists and you
open them.
#2. Never click on unnecessary emails that you don’t need:
Clicking on links in a spam email, even if it’s something you’re interested in, will
cause additional spam email. Don't make purchases through spam email links and
never give out personal information through the links that come in email because
chances are, it's fake, and someone will use that information.
There are filters for everything these days; App, Television, internet websites, and
yes- email filters. If you use a spam filter or stop the spam emails, you can
eliminate most unwanted emails from showing up in your email box.
Filter it or ignore the mail you received that’s of no use and never click on
unsubscribe mail; it will let the spammers know that your email is working, and you
will never get rid of your spam.
Nowadays, as technology is growing, Google has launched a new service for the
people who already are annoyed with the spam emails in their inbox. By using this,
you can surely get rid of your spam mails.
In the top-right corner of a message, click the drop-down menu button, and select
“block.” Any future messages from the blocked addresses will land in the spam folder.
If you change your mind and want to unblock them, go to the settings page and add
them back into your good graces.
Spam is also a convenient means to attract people to a "poisoned" web site, referred
to as a Drive-By-Download website. If you visit the website in the spam email,
viruses, trojans, and malware of all sorts will install automatically, and your device
will be hacked.
Spam messages in your email inbox can be irritating. You are constantly bombarded
with promotional materials, marketing, and even harmful malware that can lead to
identity theft and stealing of data.
There have been many people who have lost their email accounts and valuable
information because of spamming.
Don’t try solving this problem looking for a customer service number online.
There are so many fraud numbers found online, so be careful!
What you can do is keep changing your email’s password every month and remember
the points above.
