While updating the QuickBooks software sometimes it gets maintenance and release update and the QB error 15218 occurs.
This critical error is caused by incorrect configuration of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). When you download any data from the QuickBooks official website, then through the digital certificates QuickBooks tries to verify the data integrity by digital certificates. The other reasons can be:

Damaged .ND file

If error 15218 occurs, manually download and install the latest QuickBooks update.
# Solution 1: Clean Install QuickBooks Software.
Hold down the Windows Logo Key and R simultaneously.
Type in the run box “appwiz.cpl” and click OK.
Select QB 20xx from the list and click on Uninstall.
Run the Clean Install Tool and Restart your computer.
Insert the QB 20xx CD and Reinstall QuickBooks.
# Solution 2: Change Internet Explorer Settings.
Click on the Internet Options Icon at Top right corner.
In the Security tab click on Trusted Sites.
Add the following sites to the trusted sites *.quickbooks.com and *.intuit.com.
Restart your computer.
