Inspire of having such impeccable features for businesses all over the world, QuickBooks do tend to cause issues at times for its users. Problems like inaccessibility of the software, malfunctioning of features etc are some common complaints that are heard by the QuickBooks customer support team. These problems are generally identified by some error codes. Different codes result from different problem sectors of the software. One such error is QuickBooks Error -6150,-1006 that user faces while opening company file. This error may occur when you try to create, open or if you try to use company file.
There are two possible reasons of this error message:-
• You may have CryptoWall virus downloaded/installed on your computer.
• Your company file is damaged.
If you don’t have CryptoWall Virus then company file is beyond repair. Now you have to look for recent backup which you must have stored on local system or on any thumb drive.
If we cannot find backup then we can look for ADR (Auto Data Recovery) file on Intuit default location. If you find it then you have to change .ADR to .QBW which would change into working file.
Now try using that company file. Once file is opened try verify data file by going to File > Utilities > Verify Data. If you get message “QuickBooks detected no problem with your data” then we are good to go with this company file.
If you get same error with this file as well then you do not have any choice but to create new company file and start with new transactions.
